10 Things I'm Excited about 2010

1. GROWING!
- I'n only 5'8 and this is killing me! Just kidding :) -- Growing in Christ and those around me is going to be huge this year. I really believe that Christ will make 2010 THAT big. Don't ever doubt a God so big!

2. Set
- In two months, I think we've progressed more now than we have ever before. Not just with efficiency but spiritually too. We are all growing together and developing something even greater than any of us could have ever imagined.

3. Recording
- I think recording is probably one of the most tense and mind boggling activities that anyone could ever attempt. It really puts me in a creative state of mind and allows me to flood my prayers with "Thank You's"

4. Becoming a Senior
- Once I turn 65 this year I can get the senior citizens discount at Kroger! Let's face it guys, Junior year is killing me and let's hope the big guy in the sky gives me the strength to some how make it to senior year so I can walk down that aisle with my classmates!

5. Concert Events
- There's nothing like fist pumping and tense feet stomping at a banging concert! Granted, Worship concerts lay the smack down on any other concert. I hope this year is filled with intensified concerts that blow me away, top last years? Hmm..

6. Reaching out to Others
- The reason this is 6th is because I don't have the greatest excitement for reaching out to people about Christ because as of now it's really hard for me but as I attempt more and more I'm sure it will come at ease soon, But I really really want to talk to people about Christ, I just need the words.. Out of 5 brothers, not one of them is named aaron..dang!

7. Game Nights
- 2009 was filled with banging game nights! We had great people playing great games and having awesome fellowship and scrumptious food, who could ask for more fun? Well drug addicts and alcoholics but thats besides the point. 2010 Game Nights might top 2009!

8. Reading
- I can't wait to experience all the books that are to come, I hope to be reading a lot more this year than I did last year!

9. 2nd Degree Black Belt
- I think this year I might test for 2nd Degree black belt if I really feel like and for testing I always tend to do something that just makes people go "He must be on medication". This time I have a crazier idea than last year(Last year I kicked an apple off a sword) and it involves fire..

10. Car
- I might actually get a car this year and car's are nice to have and drive. A car would be absolutely magnificent so I hope it's written somewhere in God's plan: Give Alin an 01/03 Black Jetta for free and make it run on air instead of gas

Temptation in your life?

Is temptation a big part of your life? OF COURSE!

Temptation is a huge part in all of our lives and it is usually the thing that either brings out the best in us or brings out the worst in us. Temptation is God's way of saying "prove to me that I am better than what you're sinning for!". Think of that main addiction you have, whether it be smoking, lusting for girls, uncontrollable foul mouthing. Is it really worth not letting go? Is it really so big in your life that you can say this:

"This is worth more to me than God's love is"

If you can say that and not feel like a bolt of lightning is about to emerge from the sky on to your tiny little head, please call 1-800- Im - Screwed (wait for the beep)

If you find that you cannot say that sentence, good! Continue to ask for forgiveness(and mean it) and every time you feel tempted to do whatever it is you're addicted to, just ask:

Is this worth more to me than God's love?

I realized something today.

I really like to write. I use to hate to write, read, or anything with literature. It always reminded me of school and I was never a big fan of actually doing more than you're suppose to when it comes to school. Technically, I been writing for quite some time but in different standards referring to my musical development but never actually "writing". I don't want to write fictional stories or anything like that. I like writing stories about my stories, what God has given me today, what he put me through then and what I've learned from it. I love writing/singing songs but sometimes I have paragraphs and paragraphs to write and explain. It would be like me trying to sing out this blog post, it would probably have a sick solo in the middle but that's not what counts(usually..). So I'm going to attempt this writing concept and see where it goes.

P.S. Being in a band is still way cooler.

P.S.S. Especially my band.

Purpose Driven Attitude

As I finished the book Purpose-Drive Life today, I really had to ponder all the information I've taken in since I have started reading it. It has been an enormous amount and I probably won't remember half of it but I do remember what got me most. Rick Warren said by the end of the book I would find my purpose in life. I want to say that I do know exactly what God wants from me, but I'm scared I'm wrong..

I will be praying heavily about this.

All I want is what God wants because I know he will make me happier than I could ever make myself.

Are you APPROVED?

Why is it that humans need the approval of each other so much? You try so hard to do things for others and be there for them so that THEY can say "thank you" or "it means a lot". Sure it's a good thing to help others and be there for them but when we do these things, do we really look for the smiling face of God after doing these things? If so, why do we get so disappointed when people don't show or say any sort of appreciation for them? I have a lot of questions in life that I know the answer to, but if you ask them over and over to yourself, it makes you think more in depth of them, sometimes learning something you never thought of.

I am going to stop trying to get the approval of people and think "What does God think of it?"

I LOVE Jesus with every inch in my body and I hope that I am developing myself more and more in him every single day.
